MFA Building Control would like to thank Tom Reynolds of Midland Energy Services for delivering an excellent presentation on Changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
Tom outlined the new carbon reductions of 6% in dwellings and 9% in non-dwellings coming in this April. He also explained the new Fabric efficiency requirements for dwellings FEES.
It is important that SAP calculations are carried out as early as possible in the design process and it is a legal requirement to have them submitted before commencement of work.
However if you have known projects you can register them before April and avoid these changes.
